Practice. Practice. Practice. Do what you do with mindful practice.
Find what brings you joy and do that. Do what you do and do it passionately for the benefit of your own interest.
Ask not ‘What should I eat’ but ‘How do I want to feel after’. Looking to feel lite and full of energy – have a green smoothie. Looking to feel really full and satiated – try a pate or ancient grains. Wanting to explore indulgence – eat the cookie!
You are the most important person under the sun. Only you know the answers that apply to your questions. Feel free to ask me questions but expect some answers will come back as rhetorical questions so that you may answer for yourself.
I am here for support, guidance, education, and as an example of what works for ME. What works for me may work for you or at least provide you with a starting point from which to explore Holistic Living and Raw Foods. I am discovering what works for me at every moment. I don’t have it all figured out but I do feel I have a teaching and healing nature with which I am here to share.
I am at a crucial point of freedom and joy in life without RULES, PROCEDURES, or DICTATION.
In this blog, I offer you a view into my practice of being that which makes my experience – MINE.My name is Stephanie Austin and I am a student of life, love, and laughter. I’m an honors graduate of Holistic Medicine from The American College of Healthcare Sciences. I playfully work as a Holistic Health Practitioner, photographer, and student of clairvoyance.
I have the privilege of owning two businesses -
I’m a sister to one of the greatest dads, a daughter to my hero, a student to a humble teacher of light, and a protector of a senior four-legged. I thrive on new experiences and am in constant readiness for my next opportunity to travel.
The combination of illness and injury brought me into healthy living around 2002 when I was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis, an autoimmune disease and again in 2003 when I broke my back in a horseback riding accident. It is these little ‘gifts’ that remind you to refocus and get on track. ‘YOU’RE A HEALER,’ Fate said, ever so ungently, ‘GET TO HEALING YOURSELF SO YOU CAN TEACH OTHERS TO DO THE SAME.’
I have been nearly 200 pounds and suffering so much inflammation I could barely take off my own socks in my late teens/early twenties to a laughing, smiling, running, hiking, yoga practicing 60 pound lighter being of light in my latter twenties.
So here’s to listening; practicing; going forwards and backwards and forwards on my journey of happiness.
